my dear sweet ladybug,
as my belly grows with each setting of the sun i begin to realize how fast time can pass me by. i watch you carefully and notice small changes that only a mother can spot. changes that tease me. they make my heart fill with both pain and pride because my heart knows you are growing up. you are becoming such a wonderful person who i can't get enough of. i soak it all in, all of your infinite wisdom only a child has.
you have taught me a love i never knew could exist. you continue to teach me daily, about patience and letting go of the small things. things i struggle with. how can you know so much? God. He has given the world a special gift and i am anxious to watch you live your purpose and teach others what you have taught me.
your little baby love grows rapidly and my eyes are tear filled every time i feel your hands on my belly, or when you sing to your baby brother or sister. you are such a wonderful big sister. i feel in my heart that you will work with babies as an adult. you have an understanding for babies, pregnancy, and birth that i cannot begin to understand. you understand the nature of the world. you feel it in your bones. you amaze me, ladybug.
i love you. forever.
emilee continues to grow. yesterday evening is proof of such growth. she made us dinner.
with my supervision and help she cooked up some pasta sauce with spinach and garlic, hand rolled the meatballs, and boiled the pasta. she even put the meatballs in the oven without burning herself.
she was so careful throughout the whole process and i was in awe. soon, so soon, she will be capable of cooking dinner alone. i know these days are limited and though one day she will be capable of cooking dinner on her own, she may not want to. so for now, i will continue to spend as much time as i can with her.
<3 sweet. she can cook for me any day!
ReplyDeleteI think we have some cooks in the family! Sage loves to help us everytime where in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteGrandpa Joe and I saw this. He said she can make that for him! You are a good mommy. You are teaching her life skills, and a love for things that are important in this world...nature, God's little creatures and Godly love for all. Em is so special! I know you are SO proud of her.
