Birth: Baby Gus

I have so much to say.

My little sister gave birth nearly 6 months ago. It was an emotional experience for all involved. This is the second birth Ive attended of her's, both equally inspiring. But this one was challenging for my sister. She faced many fears and obstacles, as some do during labor and birth. It was the way she powered through those minor hurdles that sparked exhilaration like i've not felt since, well, my own birth. Perhaps it was because my baby sister was rocking the shit out of it.

I could tell her story but it wouldn't be nearly as compelling coming from my point of view.

When she is ready, she will share her heart with all of you lovlies. Until then, enjoy this piece of remembrance that will never do her journey justice.

  1. Brandi...this was the most beautiful thing I've ever watched. I'm not even close to exaggerating. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline and awe. Just beautiful. Guh.
